I'm dreaming of a non-snow stranded Christmas

So this was not the start I was hoping for on my 3 month, 'I've finished my dissertation and my training as an Art Psychotherapist and am heading off to rest, relax, spend a week with my family and have a pleasant and warm Christmas, before heading to Central America' trip.

I am fortunate that I have a brother who lives in London and I have a warm bed to stay in (as he is now on a plane that is hopefully soon winging its way to Texas).  I have a rebooking for the 24th (only 6 days later!!!!) but will keep trying to see if there is an earlier flight I can get on.  In the meantime, I think I should go and visit a gallery and make the most of an unexpected visit to London.

Ah Jayne, so sorry things haven't worked out as planned for your pre-Christmas with the family. Admiring your positive outlook and hoping you can enjoy London to the max for as long as you're there ... with lots of unexpected pleasures and surprises. Just framed a picture I bought recently "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade" - cheers my dear!
